The UNAC is a registered charity with a mandate to educate and engage citizens in the work of the United Nations and the global issues that affect us all. As Canada's leading policy voice on multilateralism, our work is guided by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the UN to steer the international community until 2030.

Our role is to support UNAC in its mission by representing the organization within the Quebec metropolitan community and managing local initiatives. Through education, awareness, advocacy, and promotional activities, our mission is to: 

1. Develop a better understanding of the United Nations, its ideals, and its programs; 
2. Raise awareness of Canada’s role within the United Nations; 
3. Lead debates and work towards finding Canadian and Quebecois solutions to global challenges. 

We mobilize citizens and decision-makers at all levels of Canadian society to invest across generations by providing educational resources focused on global health, civic education, global diversity, world peace, and the environment. 

We fulfill our mandate through volunteers and programs that inspire and mobilize Canadians in support of the principles and essential work of the UN. By shaping global citizens, we build a stronger Canada—one that is outward-looking and prepared to tackle the greatest challenges of our time.
